How far away is brixton academy from brixton train station?!?

Help please, how far away is it, is the walk long? and is it dangerous for about 3-4 16yr old girls walking there at night? xx

To the first poster, for gods sake there are 16 year olds who work full time and need to go around London on their own (like I did)
As long as your sensible and streetwise people are fine! Not ALL 16 year olds are children! Age has nothing to do with maturity either!

I have walked all around London and some alone as a woman late at night and NEVER had a problem because I was never a silly little girl!
People let their guard down in so called *safer* areas, and that’s when there will be trouble!

Your just as likely to get mugged in a busy place like the west end or your local area. My sister got mugged in her local Blockbuster in Clapham where it’s *seen* as a posh rich, safe area! Yet she’s never had problems in East London or Brixton!

You will be fine if your all sensible, streetwise and don’t mess around!
If your going to be drinking, set a limit on how much, know your route back, Don’t flash your boobs, phone or money and don’t get leary either! :0) Most importantly DONT LOOK like an easy target, which means shoulders back, DONT look like a timid field mouse and don’t stare at the freaks, loud mouths, and drunks! Confidence is everything!

As you will be with other girls as well you should be fine, not too sure about how long the walk is (Why don’t you give them a call and ask, they are normally very friendly and helpful with those kind of questions)
if your not too sure on things and are walking back later at night say after 10pm and it is a a bit far then perhaps ask the Academy to call a cab for you to drop you off at the station.

Just remember things do and can happen, but they can happen ANYWHERE in ANY CITY!
